Nothing ever comes easy. I spent 20 years in the work force hearing that message from my peers, friends, bosses, and even family. It always seemed to be the status quo response - “If you work hard, you will do well, but nothing comes easy…"
It forces us to compete so that we may try our best to conquer the enemy of “easy”…so that we may do our best for our family, ourselves, our future. We may never actually put our finger on who or what the enemy is. The never-ending fight to absorb pain and take hits just so one day you can say I did well. I made it.
Nah. It never made sense to me, because I always had a voice in my head that said you CAN DO ANYTHING. If it doesn't come easy, then you are putting in too much effort. If it doesn't come easy, then it is meant to be a struggle. If it doesn't come easy, then we've constructed a roadblock (down the road) in our minds, even before the tire hits the pavement. If it doesn't come easy, then it is not for us.
To make it to the top, it should be easy.

Being easy is about letting God take control, in times when we have gut feelings, in times when that gut feeling is standing up against the thoughts and opinions of others, or even societal norms. Its the times when everything seems to be going against the grain, because we've been taught that going with the grain is where the “work hard” exists. Easy isn't about not being difficult, its about being water-like. I've maintained that being easy has gotten me to this point. Be Well and Be Easy
